"Coin Stones" (Nummulites) in Egyptian soil 

Areas of steel-grey clay are found between the yellow sand at beaches of El-Gouna in Epyt.

If you crush  a sample between thumb and forefingers, you will find small flat round stones in the shape of a coins: fossile Nummulites.                Micro photo
